Monday Blues

Hey gals!! I am back with a little Monday Blues and let me start off by saying just how much fun it was to shoot this post! It was at aw by all of the beauty that surrounded me; nature, the city, Dodger Stadium, and not to mention historical landmarks!! I had never been around the Chavez Ravine and this part of Los Angeles holds so much history it was just amazing!! Okay now that I shared that with all of you, let's get into the look for today. So it was Monday and what better color to go with than blue to go for a Monday blues day.   For this look I am wearing this semi high low navy blue sweater with hints of black. It is a bit more of a cropped sweater from the front but nevertheless really warm and yes it is from Target (my almost second home haha)! Also from Target is this white blazer vest that I thought would give this look a lot more of an uplift and the perfect pop of color. After layering those two together, I paired them with these dark denim Hollister skinny jeans and these blue bow heels that are oh so chic from JustFab. And there is another winter look for those sunny warm breezy days! I hope this look served as some sort of inspiration for your wardrobe. Til the next look!!

Welcome aboard Winter!

Hey gals!! Winter is finally upon us, which means the layering only continues even more now that the weather will get cooler. Although there are days here in LA that you can get away from all the layering like I did for this day. I wanted to play around a little some different clothing pieces, mix and match, have fun with it and make it a little spunky all while keeping it stylish! So here is this blue sweater skirt I shared in my recent "Collective Haul" video on my youtube channel (ashgastelum) that I got an awesome deal on from Target. Like I mentioned in my video, what really drew me to this skirt was the blue color because I don't have much of it in my wardrobe, so I thought it would be a perfect addition!  Oh and may I mention how super duper comfortable this skirt is and its even warm! So I decided to pair the skirt with this chambray shirt from H&M and some black tights to also keep me warm, from Target. And of course this look wouldn't be completed without some booties, so for this look I am wearing these black suede booties from Target, with gold buckle details. I decided to step outside my comfort zone for a bit and added this oatmeal colored knitted beanie from Forever21 to give more of a statement to the outfit. So there you have it gals, a fun winter look that I hope served as some sort of inspiration to your wardrobe! Til the next look!!

Pink Sheep with Target Style!

Hey gals!! It's been a quick minute and I am back with a new casual, winter look of course with Target Style! So let's just take a second to appreciate how cute is this pink sheep sweater from Target! Honestly, it was the sheep that convinced me in getting the sweater, not to mention the sweater is PINK (my favorite color) so it was just too hard to walk away from. The color of the sweater, pink, makes it a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe because not only can you rock it in the Fall and Winter, but you can even make it a hit in the Spring! So I kept it pretty simple and casual, paired the sweater with these dark denim jeans from H&M. To add a little more oomph to the look I decided to integrate these white boot socks to go along with these dark chocolate brown boots from Aeropostale, which I am totally digging at the moment! To accessorize, I kept it pretty minimal with this double layered pearl necklace from Forever21, a vintage pink cross body purse from Express, and these aviator gold sunnies from Michael Kors. So as always, I hope this look served as some sort of inspiration for your wardrobe! Til the next look!!

Red Express featuring Shopmieux

Hey gals!! I am back with a new look that might have been good for holidays but since I am a tad late on brining it to you gals, it still makes it great to wear for the winter time, of course for those sunnier days! For some looks I tend to make certain pieces the center of the entire look and this red top from Express is the center piece of this look. I snatched this Express red 3/4 sleeved top from shopmieux.com which I had already featured in a previous blog post before (you can look them up and follow on Instagram). This red top is a mix of both sheer and satin making it very comfortable and lightweight to wear and its color makes it perfect not only for Christmas festivities but even for Valentines Day!  Red pieces are perfect for those kind of holidays!! (in my opinion). I paired this top with dark denim jeans, in order to make the color pop, these dark denims are from H&M. And to finalize my look, I added these knee high taupe heel boots from Forever 21, which gave my look the perfect oomph. There you have it gals, another look that I hope served as some sort of inspiration for your wardrobe. Til the next look!!

Fall Casual #2 with TargetStyle!

Hey gals!! I've been putting together different affordable looks with a dash of TargetStyle! So let's begin with Target's black and white striped long sleeve tee, yes it is long sleeve I just decided to layer it. Lately I have totally been into the basic colors; black, white, and gray which makes this tee perfection. Another plus is that it is an extremely versatile long sleeve that you can pair or layer with so many items like cardigans or even a skirt! So in this look I decided to layer this top with this utility jacket that is from Cuby Rock. I love how this jacket gives you the best of both worlds, a leather jacket feel in the sleeves and a military vest for the rest of the ensemble. Both the black and the hunter/olive green are two colors that you can match with various other colors and for any look you are aiming for like edgy or chic! To continue with the look, these dark skinny denim jeans are from Hollister and I finished off the look by adding these black Cathy Jean combat boots, which I found perfect to pair with the utility jacket, perfect combo! And to add just a bit of glam, I accessorized with a black and gold flower statement necklace. So there you have it gals, another look featuring some Target Style that I hope served as some sort of inspiration for your wardrobe! Til the next look!!

Marvel with TargetStyle

Hey gals!! I am back with a new look featuring a bit of Target style once again! All of these Target looks I have been featuring are absolutely affordable, great for your wallet! Of course it is obvious that this look is centered around this Marvel Avengers tee. This tee was a little outside the box for me and I loved dipping my toes in a different water! When I saw this tee shopping around Target, it immediately caught my eye and I thought it was so cute and fun and definitely called the inner child in me so I what the heck, I went for it! And who doesn't love superheroes? I wanted to put together a spunky, fun look and this is what I came up with. I paired the Marvel tee with these light denim distressed boyfriend jeans from Forever 21 and added these open toe LolaShoetique black booties, and I think they were a perfect addition for a slight edginess to the look. And yes, I do love hats, big hats to be exact so I definitely had to throw this black fedora hat from Forever 21 as an accessory and these big'o black round Prada sunnies. So there you have it ladies, if you want to think outside the box and want to have a little fun, I hope this look served as some sort of inspiration for your wardrobe! Til the next look!!

Fall Casual with TargetStyle

Hey gals!! I am back with a casual Fall look wearing one of my favorite hoodies of course from Target! I love this jacket because I get the best of both worlds, the comfort of a sweater and the stylish look of a denim vest, both in one! And I have to say that lately I have been obsessing over the color gray when it comes to clothing pieces, so this jacket is a plus in my wardrobe. Of course it was a layering piece in the look, under the jacket I am wearing also a dark gray sleeveless tee from Forever 21, a basic is always a plus to have and in the most colors possible because they are extremely versatile all year long! I paired this simple tee with these dark denim skinny jeans from Hollister and lastly, I finished off the look by adding these knee high black suede boots from JustFab! Totally obsessing over them! Hope this look served as some sort of inspiration for your Fall wardrobe; simple, casual, and so fab! Til the next look!

Target Glam!

Hey gals!! I am back with a new full on Target Glam look with just a tad bit of Forever 21, but we'll save for that til the end. So after a week of gloominess and rain in LA, the weekend was beautifully filled with sunshine so I was able to get away with a Fall look that did not require much layering, it actually did not require any. The entire look is revolved around this gray thick sweater kind material dress, with 3/4 sleeves that let me tell you how in love I was with this dress even more after I put it on! Of course this dress is from one of my favorite places in the world, Target! It fits to your body so gorgeously, it is a dress that I think you can make it your own by keeping it chic or making it more edgy or a simple compromise of both which I did just a tad here. I decided to pair it with these Sam and Libby Target collection booties which I think give that bit of an edge to my look. I have to say that I layed eyes on these booties since the summer, I just loved the gold buckle accents and the gold around the area of the toes, just a fine line enough to make them that more spunky. Since August I had not stop dreaming about them and I finally layed my hands on them last month and only paid $13 for them!! Was that a score or what! and to continue on with the target glam, I am using this cross body bag also from the Sam and Libby collection for Target which also has the gold accent lining going on like the booties, but it is mixed with snake print in the front flap of the bag which is what makes the bag just that more eye catching! To accessorize, I wanted to add some chic to my look, as usual, so I decide to add this rounded black suede hat from Forever 21 along with this gold and black long necklace also from Forever 21; again, kept with the whole black and gold theme which made my gray dress be the center pop color of the entire look!! Hope this look served as some sort of inspiration for your wardrobe! Til the next look!!

Tall Girl, Tall Boots!

Hey gals! I'm back with a quick new Fall look! I actually decided to try and do some shopping in the evening of Black Friday and it was just absolutely impossible! So decided to just go out for dinner and call it a day. During Black Friday here in Cali was like 80 degrees, so I think I should say this is a semi Fall look because living in LA it is quite difficult to get a full on Fall outfit going on. So for this look I am wearing this long sleeve lace top that I found on a great deal at Target! And I just simply added a plain white tank top from Forever 21 under the lace top because of course we have to keep it decent! I added these darker denim jeans from Pacsun and to finish the entire look off I paired it all with these taupe, suede tall boots from Forever 21 which I find to be one of the most perfect heel, tall boots to ever exist yet weirdly enough I don't wear the too often!! So definitely going to be pairing them with more outfits. And there I am carrying my big-o-heavy Michael Kors purse, yes it is my favorite and I love to take it with me as many times as I can. Well there you have it girls, hope you got some sort of inspiration for your wardrobe, til the next look!
